We’ d like to invite you to our next event Nieuwland Goes Latin taking place in just 10 days! On the 17th of April, in collaboration with NieuwLand and Pluriversity Weavers, we will celebrate the Open Day of NieuwLand 🥳
– Workshops, Mexican food and live music –
Come and learn how to weave textiles with Damaris Bolio, listen to Natalia Giraldo and Ismael Reyes talk about other ways of understanding the world beyond modernity, about the ancient philosophy of the Sierra Nevada, get an introduction on how to use and understand Linux and Arduino… or fix your bike and do some Tai Chi – all in the usual workspaces at Nieuwland!
Leonardo Prieto will be teaching a Son Jarocho masterclass so everyone is welcome to walk-in with instruments. Music sheets can be provided! Send a message to info@stichtingperron.nl to secure your place!
Live music will be provided by Zorzal and La Fandanguera. Afterwards there will be a Son Jarocho jam session (fandango). Before the fandango, there will be small introduction to Son Jarocho… It will be a great evening!
AND there will be Mexican food! (can’t wait)
The workshops are all free, but donations are welcome to support the continuity of our events! 🙂
Also, during the talk of Natalia and Ismael, they will offer a special drink called Chicha (corn-fermented drink) so you don’t want to miss it!
